Was running a new (used) bucket truck today. It started leaking hydraulic oil near the lower controls. Not sure if it was from a fitting or the line.

Questions:

It was in the low 20's, do these temps contribute to hose failure?

If they need to replace the line, should I have them all replaced?

Has this happened to you? What happens when you're up in the bucket and lose hydraulic fluid?

It could also be an O ring that compressed due to the temp. When temps are low, everything becomes brittle. You should only replace the bad hose. I don't know what happens when you lose hydraulics while in the bucket.

Hope this helps!
