Any 'rule of thumb' approaches to adjusting the metering lever on Walbro WT's if you don't have the little gadget? Or is there a neat trick or some household item that is close to mimicking the 500-13 thingie that's recommended for the
.060~.070 spec?

Got an 026 rebuild with new carb kit that runs great, idles fine, throttles right up after a minute of warm-up, re-starts with one pull warm, needs primed every time to start cold.
Only thing not covered in the t-shooting is the metering lever adjustment, well, cause I can't.

TIA for any tips or info.

I use a steel ruler placed across the carb body and a small feeler gauge bent almost 90 degrees.

I usually go by sight or I'll use the square end of a raker file. It shouldn't make any difference if it's out a tad, especially with a new kit.
