Them chubby girls can be a lot of fun.
Well, same weight as a 550 xp II. (Also kind of same power. Less on paper, and a tad more when in use I think).so basically using a Dolkita is like dating a fat chick...kinda on the heavy side but cheap to date? waits for fireworks.....
Paper weight is only part of it all, to me the light on paper 261 version 2 seems to weigh more than the 550. Hopefully the new 550 doesn't feel as fat in hand as the 5105 does, but even if it does as long as it handles better and has the same or more power I'll be pleased with it.Well, same weight as a 550 xp II. It's the way it's build that makes it bulky.
I would say, compare it with a aerobics enthousiast that likes streetfood.

The 550 is a magnesium case FYI550 is heavier and not quite as much power. If I remember correctly they use an aluminum case. Considered a farm/home saw and the 5105 is magnesium and a pro model.

Gotcha. Thought I read in the specs from Dolmar about it being aluminum. My bad.[emoji849]The 550 is a magnesium case FYI
I was thinking the same way .
Dolmar PS550 is the same as Makita EA5600, maybe you saw that one?I've never even seen a Dolmar 550...
No, it is a farmer-range chainsaw. The 550 is not readily available/sold in the U.S. and is certainly a magnesium case pro model.
I thought that might be what he was talking about, but then he said mag case. Is the little mini-case in the 550/5600 magnesium? I'll try one if I get a chance but they're not exactly falling off of trees in these parts.Dolmar PS550 is the same as Makita EA5600, maybe you saw that one?
That was kinda my line of thought. It will be interesting to learn. My bet, in that class of saw and knowing a little bit of their history, it's not mag...Dolmar (and Makita as well) clearly advertises this saw in the farm/semipro category. How is it possible to recognize if the case is made from aluminium or magnesium alloy?
There are a lot of models with interchangeable parts in that family. I just learned of some more models that share parts this year. Between that and the lack of popularity a guy could get into one really inexpensively. The power they produce is still near the top in the class too.I know I had read it somewhere on one of their sites, but I wasnt sure which saw it was, I was thinking it was the 510. I basically learners 5100 and 5105 were the ones to get in the 50cc class.
I'm pretty good in the 50cc class right now, and you know what color I prefer .There are a lot of models with interchangeable parts in that family. If they're too heavy, you can swap on a plastic handle ala 340/345...I'm pretty good in the 50cc class right now, and you know what color I prefer .
But there are some nice deals out there for the dolmars.
Maybe I can do that for the 550ne lol.If they're too heavy, you can swap on a plastic handle ala 340/345...
