Cut it off flush near the edge of the cover and fill with jb.
Then drill an 1/8 hole in it.
What about swapping out the compensator cover for another cover and drilling the 1/8" hole. That'll prolly work as well, right?
 
Define a kit. Due to the HK using a plastic module with an integral needle seat , its the module that has to be replaced, that does not come in a rebuild kit. The costs involved make it not worth fixing them, much easier and cheaper to just replace them and get away frm the problematic module carb.

Was thinking of HK43B.

Lots of non-compensator Zama carbs out there too.
 
Wll,, thanks to scallywag I found that plastic metering plate I was needing for the Tillotson HK43A...Replaced it and same thing happens...Runs for a few seconds then backfires and dies...gona have to get a new carb.
