I Must Be A Real Dummie

I have been trying to post pictures for the longest time now, with NO LUCK. Every time I try to post Pictures, it comes up as Error for Managed Attachments.
It says, Your file of 1.70 MB bytes exceds the forum's limit of 300.0KB for this file type.
I've tried and tried, but every time this error comes up. I've tried Photo Bucket, Face (can't remeber) and with no luck useing them.
I'm requesting help with this matter, so that I can share pictures with you guys as well. Thanks. Bruce.

Download a jpeg resizer off the internet. Just google "jpeg resizer free download" or something similar. Piece of cake. The one I use is called "Jpeg Resizer, Version 2.1", but there are a million others out there. Just have to get them below 300k.

There are lots of ways to resize but I found this really easy to use:

Still not the most user friendly to make them appear automatically.I always have to look it up to remind me. Post#42 on the above thread explains this.

I just resize the pics to 800 x 600 pixels and it works just fine.

About time you put that back into practice, I cant remember any new pics in ages

if you have gotten the windows updates, generally there a resize image option. right click the image and click resize to a suitable upload size, to verify right click the 'new' image file and check the size....

Bruce, get the pic on your desktop. Usually by just click/dragging it there.
Once there, right click on the icon of the pick, and choose properties.
You should see a section that says, type of file, and a tab that says "change"
click on it, and choose "paint".
Once you have done that, open the pic by clicking on the icon. Then at
the top, click on "image", and a dropdown menu will drop, and then click on "resize/reskew"
Then change the 100 on horizontal to 25, and do the same on the vertical.
Then click on "OK". Then close the window. It will ask if you want to save changes, click yes.

Then you are ready to upload it.

Hi Bruce
Do you know anybody who is really computer savy that could walk you thru it?Someone who could be right there with you?When I did mine my wife helped me out,and I will still need her the next time I post pics until I nail it down.I'm 52 and never used a computer in my line of work,it takes time to learn new things the older you get.

If you open the attachment copy the web address and post it into your reply
then add [ i m g] without the spaces at the start and [ / i m g ] at the end without the spaces at the end and bobs your uncle
