One fine 090AV

It looks brand new. Where the :taped: did he find it...Carl

That is a smoker for sure!

Hey Brad I took your notes and applied them last nite although I didn't go to the extremes of oversize carb and manifold or whiskering the piston. I just tried it out in the log, wedoggggggggggggggie, much improved, thanks...

Excellent. That didn't take long!

Well I did the grinding last nite. I brought it with me today, tossed the cylinder in the Cuda for a quick wash and tossed her back together. Little saw really pick up some grunt, pulls much stronger than before, I likes it.

I gotta be carefull doing this, I could get hooked on speed and I'm the guy that says speed kills,LOLOLOL

I didn't know you had it in ya;) You're doomed now. I'd have it no other way.

Is kinda fun to tinker with the cylinders. I'm not hooked yet though I am searching the net for a super nice pencil grinder, them things are costly but I gotsa to get me one, opppppppppps, you didn't hear that...

I did what you said but I didn't enlarge the transfers too far since I'm using the stock fuel supply. It picked up alot of pulling power for sure.

Hoss sure has a knack for finding good toys. He was the kid with all the shiny Tonka trucks out in the sandpile while the rest of us were using old coffee cans and popsicle sticks. :)

Next time I go over to his place I'll get some pics of his collection, the man has a slew of saws for sure....

I had the chance to spend a day with Hoss playing chain saw last year. We even went to see Tommy before heading out to the woods.

I had to have help getting one saw started, I just wasn't man enough to pull it over with authority.

Hoss does indeed collect some nice toys.

With the old gear drive saws like the McCulloch and Homelite in the video, you really do need to dog them in and pull hard to get the best performance in the cut. Chain speed is too slow to let the weight of the saw do all the pushing.
