What would you buy a full-wrap or 3/4 wrap for??

There are a few out there. Guys adapted the handle from another Husky saw to make it work.

One was a PNW faller with some really good videos on youtube.

Mr. HE:cool:

WOW! I'd ah never guessed that in a million. . . Dem's smallish type saws.

You'd be the only guy in the country with a full wrap 346! Hahahaha

Not sure how many guys would want that setup though?

Yup!

And I would glady pay more than I would for a "Usual" full wrap...and you would be the only source.

The other guys make the margin on economy of scale.

The only reason there aren't full wrap 260's and 346's out there is nobody is making them, not because there are no south paws in the woods and all trees can be gotten to on all sides.;)

10 years ago, there were few flashlights or picatinny rails mounted on firearms. Now, because somebody offered them (ARMS etc.) they are becoming the standard.

Remember when reciever hitches weren't standard on trucks? LOL!!

How about modular wrap handles?:D

Count me in for a 346 full wrap.
Stay safe!

Well shucks. . . Now I have to find a 346 to work off of. :)

Does this mean I tell my wife I have to buy one "for work". . . LOL

I'll get back to you, I'll call my Husky dealer tomorrow and see if he has a downed one I can pattern from?

EDIT: Just remembered, both dealers are closed here on Sun/Mon. I'll still see what I can do tomorrow on it though.

MONDO#####ENCOOLDUDE!!!!

That would be great! Thanx!

Don't worry about the shrink wrap. Like I said, I'll wrap it with Paracord or Bicycle tape. I might even get ahold of Brooks Spier about some of that crazy Kayak paddle handle "Chinchilla wrap" and see if that will hold up.

You realize of course Nikko is gonna poop three headed Kittens over a full wrap 346 right?:D

I'm gonna have to attach a picatinny rail on it for a Tac light, Ipod, and a Copenhagen pouch, just to up the ante.:chainsaw:

Yeah, Niko's gonna crap! LOL

And I totally dare you to put laser gunning sights on it. hahahaha

They didn't make any handle changes from the early model 346 and the new ones did they?

Gotta make sure to cover all the bases.

If I can get a rail mounted, up I'll do one better and slap a PAQ-2 or a Passive NV scope on it.:D

I'm pretty sure the NE 346 uses the same handle but will look into things after daybreak. I really gotta crash. Got a date with the Loppers and several thousand bushes in the morning..:dizzy:

Thanx!

A 3/4 wrap for an 028 would be sweet. And there's a lot of them still in service.

When ya' get up and running I'll take a couple for my 064's and 066's.

Do the J-red handles mount the same as the equivalent Huskys ? I know the angle of the handle is different...... but if they are interchangable, it would sure make the market bigger if your aftermarket bars fit both brands.

I'd be potentially interested in full wrap bars for the 346, 372 / 2171 and 385, 390 , and 395 / 2095.

When I called Stihl USA, they said it was shrink tubing on their saws, and could be purchased through my local dealer. :dunno:

The stuff from Stihl is not shrink tubing. It has to be installed with air connected to the end to expand it. It's a VERY difficult task. Industrial heat shrink would make a lot more sense. Here's the stuff you're probably looking for. LINK

What about plasi-dip like they use on tool handles? Might be more economical on a production basis.Just dip and hang.

And it could be done in really cool designer colors !!!

This is the stuff that's on my 076 Super. It works great.
