Replaced the tires on my old truck a couple months back and decided I'd toss the old tires up on market place just as a see what someone will offer for trades. They were pretty well shot with over 80,000 kms on them but someone could get a winter out of them or put on a field truck or something. I figured after a couple months I would just give them to the next person who messaged as no one offered anything and very little interest came in on them.
Guy messaged me last night saying he had some "parts saws" and wanted to know if I was interested. Never one to turn down more parts I said yea bring them over I'll take them, whatever they are.
He showed up with these, 345 he said was running recently but quit and he just tossed it under the bench. And a 365 that's been picked over pretty good. I was messing with the 345 right away and looks like all that was "wrong" was throttle linkage came loose. Put a fresh plug and some gas in and it fired right up. Started without even using the primer bulb. So I'll find a new handle, slap on one of my bars and the few other little odds and ends and looks like a working 345. Now the 365 will take a lot more but from what I've read, they can make a great saw so I'm thinking it'll make its way onto the work bench eventually.
What do you guys think of these? Figure worst case, it never hurts to have spare parts kicking around but would like to eventually get them running again.
