That saw sounds pretty good to me. It doesn't really have to turn 15k out of the wood to hold good rpms in the wood.

Welcome back! I was away for a while too. I hope your business works out. I sure would love to see one of those 372xp's you do. I had a rough time the past couple of years as well, keep your chin up.

well, lets see what youve got in your bag of tricks. i hope your not just another builder that can do it all and it s top secret and cant share with guys trying to to do there own stuff. ive had enough of those types around here...........:angry2:

Good to see you back. I remember some of your old threads, and the work you posted in them.

Not trying to start a fight, but why would he?

I wouldn't share for free either........

i guess thats where we would differ, if i can help someone with what little i know ,im glad to do it. i like to make a little money here and there on building saws too but being a guy with the pay me or you get nothing attitude is the type of people i refuse to spend money with. id be willing to bet that a guy that shares a little knowledge rather than being a jerk would get a lot more bussiness. but thats just my opinion. and id be willing to bet a lot of folks would agree with it.

There would not be copyrights and patents if things were not worth keeping a secret and taking the time to develop.

Terry, I don't agree with that. If a guy fights his way to learn something and become good at it, he shouldn't be faulted for not wanting to tell every swinging #### what he does. I doubt you'd find any builder that's worth a **** wanting to spew their guts on what they do or what numbers they run on an open forum. There are a lot of good builders that no one has even heard of that aren't even on the internet. Not all builders have a close door policy, some like to know who they are dealing with before they give out hard earned information for someone else to turn around and make a quick buck with it. I've had alot of help behind close doors, lots of knowledge that I might have never learned. They are many people that will go out of there way to help. To me if a guy wants to share what he know that is up to him.

go to any track with race teams worth their salt and take a look around. yup, their stuff is covered up. only the officials and the 'builders' (plus some select team members) know whats under the covers. anybody wanting to stay competative and hold their edge on the track keeps the speed secrets underwraps. no different here with saw racing. if somebody wants to build 'em and keep some of their secrets, thats their objective. and to say somebody isn't helping just 'cause they do keep some is pretty ignorant.
want the secrets? buy the saw.

:agree2:

this is not a saw racing forum, there is nothing to keep under wraps here is there? im talking work saws , you would find very few folks here that are trying to gain info from others to make money with it. i think you guys are missing the point of my post. i am tired of hearing folks talk about how good they are at this and that and never seeing it. i am not asking anyone to divuldge all there little secrets. i dont want anyones secrets to saw building. i just think that this is an open forum where folks are coming together to share knowledge and information. if you dont have anything togain from it or to share then why be here? telling someone what numbers to shoot for on a saw or how you do certain things is a long way from getting the job done for them. im not saying that everyone has to share what they know. i just think you should not be here bragging about knowing it all and then not want give any one help. plain and simple

I disagree as well. Would you show someone how to log, just so they can go do it for themselves? I imagine it would have to be the right individual for you to do that...same with saws. The info just isn't given out. Simon has done over a thousand saws, so this just isn't a hobby for him.

You can always buy one of his saws and take it apart too. LOL:msp_scared:

I guess I don't know who the builders are that are doing this?
