A couple of you are missing a key point, that I pointed out earlier. Ambull and I were the next two highest bidders, after the winner, and were less than $250 apart in our bids. I simply see no point in bidding each other up. Think what you want, that's how I look at it.

OK, maybe a little Lookin' good there bro! I've been cleaning saws this afternoon myself. I hadn't yet taken my saws out of the truck and cleaned them up since the Poulan Lovers GTG two weeks ago:msp_scared:

I have gotten several saws just like that!
Also have missed several saws like that!
I chuck it up to life, then get mad and go run the saws I do have!

My Robin distributor had a demo NBT415 back in the mid '90s. Wonder if they still have it?

Actually,

The seller set the market value on THIS saw when he listed it with an opening bid of $1200.00 and no reserve.
In essence, the opening bid was what the seller would be happy to be paid for the saw, anything else will just be gravy!
I wish I could say I hate to disagree with you............but I can't!

I'm glad to hear that. I hope you keep it that way. Desperate? I just saw a guy who had the potential of being ripped off and let him know. It's the nice thing to do. So I've kept up on this thread, and I still have no idea who got the first Solo twin yesterday. I did learn a few things along the way in the arduous journey of sniping, innuendo, back biting, suggestions of collusion, and tattletales.
Somewhere along the way a few people lost sight that these are just chainsaws, yep I said it. We are not searching for the Holy Grail, a cure for terminal illnesses, or some other societal salvation. It's just saws, and ultimately who won them, bought them, or owns them is their business.
I would like to say I'm done posting in this thread, but I don't want to appear hypocritical in case I have something to add later on. Oh yeah, and if anyone has any ideas for another thread like this let's communicate via PM in case we have the same idea, and we aren't just one upping each other.:msp_wink:
