so my dolmar guy came in this week and we were going through the new models and all that jazz. so i asked about the 9010 and he said when they run out they run out and they won't be getting anymore in. i asked him why and he said for 2014 dolmar is going to 100cc's min maybe a 115cc max(possibly two models). and it should weigh around the same as the 9010. so my question is has anyone else heard this? anybody a dolmar rep and hear this first hand? he said he would let me know when they get them in and if so i'm gonna get me one of these bad boys as soon as they come out:msp_w00t:

I doubt it but I hope I'm wrong. The only new things that I have heard from Dolmar is the 4 stroke cut off saw (PC-7614 V), the 4 stroke 42cc bruschcutter(MS-430.4 U & MS-4300.4 U) and the strato 60cc saw 6100.

so are they ditching the 6400 then just leaving the 7300-7900 on that chassis?

Who really cares, that one always was way too large and heavy for the power anyway, and was open port to add insult to injury?

...but what has this to do with 100cc + saws?

A totally different point is that the 153 was a true 100cc saw, while most other "100cc" saws actually were 98.5cc.....:msp_wink:

ima hoping for a 6 cube dolmar, shell def be mine!!

I don't really see any reason to hope for a new Dolmar, and don't really see any reason that they will put out a new 6 cube one?
If they did, I'm sure it would be totally riddled with EPA induced "features", and not what any regular poster on here would want.

If dolmar said 2014 it will probably be 2016 until we see anything.

ATTN MAKITA/DOLMAR MARKETING SCHLUBS: you guys make great saws but don't seem to want to sell them. If you're gonna field a new model of machine, why not throw a few bucks at advertising, and make sure there's a dealer network to support whatever you might accidentally sell? Just asking, you know, on account of I like your gear and all, but am totally on my own to keep it running.

Don't know but it is good to see a little bit of inovation in this small compay. That is a sign of survival will in my eyes.

What I find interesting is that Dolmar choose to go the 4 stroke road for a cut off saw instead of the direct injection road that Stihl is prefering. 4 stroke should have major advantages (proven system, less emissions because of the 4 stroke system, no oil gas mixing, less rpms because the cut off blade doesn't go so high in rpm's, easier maintanence like oil change, etc.). Of course it doesn't have the "bling" factor of direct injection.

C'mon Trolly,

we ain't all old and decrepit, whats a pound here or there? I have found that Dolmar never really skimped on the stroke. You know that adds weight
and raw bone power.

The EPA thing is worrisome, perhaps that will be the first fuel injected chainsaw?

I is a regular poster, and I want one now!
