You do realize this won't necessarily give us an advantage over Scott...
I'd like to think I'm handy with a saw and all, but he been doin' this a long time...
:beat_brick:
Two years ago when I was there Scott won enough t-shirts to last him into the next millennium:dizzy::dizzy:There was at least one local to that got a little pissy at Scoot to.I think he said "you don't cut wood with them there saws they are racers".

The way I look at it, if ya don't like getting beat, get a saw that's just as stout, and practice...

A lot...

I ain't got time to practice, so I'm just gonna dull Scott's chain when he ain't lookin'...

You all can thank me later...
:msp_rolleyes:

Just wondering.I have been asked by porters if I want a woods port or cookie cutter port with no guarantee how long before it explodes.

Naaa.... Everything I got is relegated to firewood duty... It was my son's b day present... He likes JD green...

Scott said don't plan on him being up there this year, he's gotta mind the shop. But he may have a saw or 2, or 5, or 10, or 20, or 30 there. We got nothin to worry about if Jake is filing his chains.:msp_scared:

Ouch!!!
Jake gonna be there???
Cause he's gotta be there...

Cost of entry? I've got a bottle of high quality bear piss I'm willing to bet gets me some decent gains. Hedgerow wanna port-a-pool? If stumpy brings the barber chair I'll be willing to take a seat a:rock:nd let my hair down.

And trust me to see it run will have you more confused than a 3 peckered dog. Nice running little saw.

Porting saws is a goofy business... A person can port 2 identical saws, and get different results.
Scott will attest to this as will Stumpy. I realized this when I muff modded a saw and realized literally NO gain... Never happened to me before...
The key is to know what to do, and why you're doing it...

I agree example #1 I failed at my first port job. After realizing grinding with the intention of getting huge gains with no real knowledge is like pissing in a stiff wind. So I got more information did some studying and after a 10 hour day I managed to build a good runner. Still not messing with timing too much. But for what seemed small in the way of a timing change and squish the saw runs and sounds better than stock. That's success for me. I was pretty impressed with myself for not getting discouraged. I'll have my 2171 ready for chips by February 14th. Just been busy with a pretty nice trade deal thing and stuff. 2 cords of wood for a NOS 61 Rancher. Everyone needs atleast 2 so that's what I'm working on.

Might as well make it either saw on ground hands on log not running or above the log. Some of my saws move multiple feet idling on the ground. Just a thought. And chris bring your 621 we have a challenger!
