New to me 152's x 2
Very pleaseant suprise that the parts saw is only missing throttle linkage and choke rod and fuel line.....started right up on prime. Very Happy to say the least with these.
The saw with the bar looks to have a couple small cracks in the clutch cover and in the fuel tank. The previous owner said he had JB welded but there is no evidence of that.
Looking forward to dropping a tree just to play with them.
I will probably make a homelite 32 inch bar fit.
There was even an extra full wrap handlebar and extra carb kits too. I feel like this was one of my better craigslist purchases.

Nice score Ted, You would be better off using a large mount
Stihl bar as they will require very little work to fit. The bar
slot is the same at 14mm. I think it's just the oil hole may
need to be drilled.

I want this bar for my 166 60" cannon just need to build the saw fund up enough for it. The description says it fits the big Dolmars, just needs the oil whole drilled like you said Leeha. When I get it, I will show how and where I drill the whole.

They were going to the scrapyard if I didn't take them, dealers around here don't spend much time repairing saws.
I'm not surprised.. they charge $80 per hour.

you can't justify spending $200 on a repair bill when you can just get another.

That high cost of repairing saws is real good for scroungers like me, pays off very often. I got a good relationship with several dealers and repair shops that send fixer uppers my way. Most of them are actually real easy/simple fixes but the shops don`t want to bother even doing a carb rebuild on an older saw.

any one seen a place to source a piston for a 143? ive seen p/c combos and ring sets,but not just a piston kit. i was going to re-ring mine but after i cleaned it up,it has a nice groove going down the exhaust side.as this is my milling saw id rather get a new piston. i did see an A/M p/c kit for 150 vs 300 oem.

Yes, well kind of, chainsawr has Some Makos for the 152/153.
I have used them on two 143s, just chucked them up and cut the skirt.
They have the added benefit of a dome.
