Just an example of a quota log that exploded soon as i fell it. as the mill started working on it the results are very evident makeing a good quota into fire wood. This log was Silvertop Stringy and, when they do this you cannot do much to get any sawn of value out of it.

What makes that timber split like that Neil is it a dry season thing ?

I read that i must be out of favour with you oh smiliey one not that it bothers me really dont know you from a bar of pommie soap or want to.

McBob.

The accusations you made towards a fellow member who is a mate of mine and I know personally certainly didn't help. Then after a temporary ban you pop back up madly posting saw photos everywhere thinking everybody missed you or something.

howz the new gig going lad, I was up riverina way as you know and from behind the car windshield it seemed hard tough place to make a livin ATM very sad to see many small towns empty looking was my wife I observation as we flew past them

Yeah a lot of the hardship was experienced during the drought with heavy water restrictions and poor commodity prices. Then the growers (particularly grape growers) went straight from a drought into two wet years with a heap of diseases normally restricted to tropical regions. As far as the Fruit Fly outbreak goes in Sunraysia it has been generally accepted that the horse has bolted although the government authorities won't admit it. Even with the extremely hot and dry weather through this last season the number of detections didn't slow down.

Here is a beaver hat I made a few years ago

Hmmm that looks a bit like a Mahoe mill to me Neil... I am interested in that beam they use, what kind of structure are they running inside it? Also that blue friction drive box they use, is it just a speed reducer? I think I need to get into this milling business someday, seems like fun with all the sawdust and stuff.

I do not know why you keep accusing me of giving away your stuff, like I posted before , I do not possess any McCulloch IPL's nor manuals and I do not possess ANY of your "work". I have not given anything McCulloch related away because I don't have it and never have had McCulloch material.
Anyone feel free to check my posts and see that that is true.
You should get your facts correct before you accuse people.

You don't have exclusive rights to mac manuals..as you've been told time & time again.
I see you've been posting in the Dolmar thread just to criticize Dolmars.... that's the sort of person you are!.
as for showing you respect :hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange:

The forum would be better with you and all your BS gone!

Boo hoo Bob. You've accused at least one person (gmax) who I know full well is an honest guy. If he says the information isn't or wasn't yours then you expect me to believe you over him?
The fact that you'd managed to keep your website link in your footer for so long, which has gear for sale in it, without being a sponsor is amazing in itself. You've jumped up on your high horse with no actual proof but just assumptions then ran with it and tried to smear sh*t on Wayne's character on an open forum. I think we need to run an AS poll on who members think is the most trustworthy with both yourself and gmax as the only options.
You can't charge for stuff that you don't own. Pretty bloody simple.
If you're so damn certain that these guys have passed on your so called work then prove it right here and now. Fact is you can't and won't. You're just pis*ed that somebody has found an alternate source of information and you may lose a few bucks. If McCulloch were still a going concern they'd have every right to sue your arse off for profiting from their work.
Nobody cares if you simply charge enough to cover the costs of postage and burning a disc - that's more than fair.

Please leave me out of your personal war.

I think the fact of the matter is that Bob thought he was the only online source in the world of McCulloch IPL's. Anybody with a hard copy and scanner is a potential suspect. The problem with the internet is that it's easy to portray yourself as a world expert and authority on a particular subject but with 6 billion people it's a damn sight harder to back it up.

What makes that timber split like that Neil is it a dry season thing ?

The logs are fast growing, due to high rainfall and soil that suits timber growth up here in the high country. Some logs have way too much sap which causes a lot of spring or tension and the trees own weight can cause major problems.
That was just an example as i get those regularly and don't bother recording most of them.

Yes Rudi, one of my Mahoe's.
The beam is stainless steel, 1 piece bent round with the bottom open, the bottom is a separate leng'th pop riveted useing huge rivets. Inside has a long rod running to the far end which drives the ''Cut To Taper'' feature and of coarse has bearings mounted along the centre.
The drive box is a simple right angled reduction box to drive the mill useing friction on 2 opersite wire ropes.
I will see if i can dig up some pics of the 2 mills

In reality it's proberly a late friday afternoon job and she'll be right typical husky workmanship

What ever, who gives a f#ck, they will do me.

Like sands through the hourglass...

Too right Kiwibro there like a wittle dawg with a big big bone ..... and just maybe if they got off their butts and put something together of value and did something useful the world would be a smarter place instead of trying to be a cult hero on some obsure thread ..... hint hint
