Ive worked 7 days a week for almost a decade. Sometimes I take off a day to work at something else around the house, my mom's house, my MIL house, my Grannies house. etc. Now learned I may have heart trouble, I have high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and pre diabetic. Im working today and tomorrow (at my pace). Taking off Monday and Tues to spend with the kids. Having a heart cath on Wed. Been having a hard time breathing (shortness of breath/winded). Failed a stress test on the treadmill (I used to run everyday, now I cant play frisbee tag with a 4,5, & 7 year old.) No Im not overweight- 6'6 and 210lbs. Wont work for a couple weeks following. And then Im only going to work 5 days a week. No more Dawn to Dusk for me. Less work... more living.
Gentlemen I know this for a fact. It aint worth it. Life is too short. Live life like theres no tommorrow for tommorrow is promised to no one. Words from my mothers eulagee after dieing from cancer she knee day one was terminal never told a sole no one, no my step dad, her in sisters brothers us kids no one we found out 2 days before her passing she didnt want anyone fussing over her, she got the rid of all her clothes 1 week before she died other then the dress she wanted to be buried in made it easy for us when we opened her closet. My dad went to her funeral never in 28the years did i here either one of them say a bad word about each other. 6e mo to the day dad come home work laid down told my step mom he didnt feel good and had a heart attack in his sleep at 822 am. Trust me tommorrow is promised to no one

My clone is only 8 and I couldn't afford to get one closer to my age. Going into today I already had 45+ hours and that puts me over 56 for the week. That GOD I work in the school system, no weekends. I have started to change my diet and exercise routines to help with the stress loads my job brings with it. I can't imagine not being able to do things with my clone.

PS- If you need any help me and mini-me can put the slide-in on the truck and come by for a couple of days in July. I'll need a vacation after going to Disney at the end of June.

Yeah I'm in the self employed category too.Have been since I was 8 years old.Always had 3 different "Businesses" going since I graduated in 96.Tobacco/cattle Farming,Landscaping and selling antiques.Landscaping, Dog setting/house setting then wiring,landscaping,house setting and selling motorcycle parts.Now it's saw repair,Landscaping and Mowing yards on the side.I work 365 days a week.Last 3 day vacation I had was back in may of 09 and slept in my truck in the parking lot at deals gap.Actually took a day off last weekend just because I couldn't get out of bed from the flu and I've been behind ever since.was going to take off and meet up with an old friend tomorrow at the car show BUT NO I got 3 Yards to mow tomorrow.Can't complain the Jacks' rollin' in.
I'm 36 now but I feel 66 some days.Ya know here lately 18yo kids Started pissin me off.I call them Candy asses.I was push mowin yards and chasing cattle thru the mountains when I was their age.I work around these boys on a job.One called in sick because he had warts took off his hands the other called in sick the same week with a couple of stitches in his hand.I told my buddy they work for to tell them to grow a set.2 weeks later they quit and went to work in a candy factory.Thats what started the candy ass thing.
They came back to work so everytime I show up I start calling them Ooompa Looompa's.
Randy, being semi retired I have quite a few days I'll let you have. No charge. I've done the seven day a week thing and it's great not to have to do it any more. Hang in there, you'll have your turn.
If you need a place to hide out I know some good ones. We have some ground where you can go for a couple of weeks without cell phone reception, wi-fi, or having to see or listen to another solitary living person. The loudest noise you'll hear is the raccoons fighting over the fish scraps from the trout you caught the night before 100 feet from your camp.
