I was out three days working up two trees. Yesterday I performed the last sacred rite before I felt the season had officially started. While servicing the saws I put gas in the oil tank.

Harry, I only did this once using a McCulloch 3516 around 15 years ago. The Mac's bar oil filler cap is where the Stihl fuel cap is. At the time, I was running both saws.

But, I outdid you. I also poured bar oil in the fuel tank.

ROFLMAO!

Been there..or how about get mix and oil in the right place, and forget to put the one or the other of the caps back on? Been there, too...messy...

Dunno how this happened. Fueled saws, cut several 24" rounds, sat down for a bit of coffee and saw that the fuel cap on the 361 was off. WTF?? How could I have cut that much with a loose cap?

Mind must have been up in the trees dreaming of sawdust rooster tails flying in the air.
It will get better.... we hope
And yes I have.
My little ECHO makes it even easier because it's front carb/gas and rear oil tank.
Best question to ask yourself at that time is which brush pile needs to get burned.
Problem solved!

You haven't made it to the bottom of the barrel until you have put your chain on backwards. In front of the customer. Who pointed that out.

Now there is one I havent' done. I did put a chain on backwards but saw it as I pulled the saw off the bench. Had the pleasure of telling a guy I bought the saw off of tht it was on backwards though. His defense was that it was he son's and he didn't use saws.

Most of the snow is gone from where I have a few trunks down waiting to be bucked up. The only problem is the frost hasn't come out yet so the top layer of dirt is like grease and it being on a hillside doesn't make for safe cutting conditions.
