Here's what I posted on another thread.

Anna, my 17 year old daughter, and I were in a pretty serious accident Tuesday morning. Traffic stopped on the interstate. I safely stopped, but was then rear ended by a car doing 50-60 MPH. Talk about a IMPACT! I've never experienced anything like that. Although neither of us were seriously injured, I was so dazed I was in a stupor hardly able to walk. We both suffered some whip lash. Anna is still having issues with her neck/back and having headaches everyday. The 17 year old girl that hit us is even more fortunate. She was apparently uninjured. Modern auto impact technology is pretty amazing when everyone can walk away from an accident like this. I'm very thankful that no one was seriously injured. Cars are replaceable!

Here's the car that hit us.

Here's my car. She got into my car far enough that it drove the right rear suspension forward at least an inch.

It sheared the steel bumper core in half.

This is where I was driven into the car in front of me by the impact. That car was then driven into the car in front of it.

Here's the 2012 replacement we picked up Saturday morning. It's identical to the one that was totaled, except 4 years newer and 1/3 the miles. I searched the entire US to find the same color combination and options and only found two! The other one was in Maine. I was happy that this one was $4K less expensive too :) I'm glad this ordeal is nearly over. I already settle on my old car and got what I thought I should. That was a relief as well.

I'm very thankful this Christmas season for God's protecting hand of mercy over the many miles we travel everyday. This could have turned out so much differently.

Glad the two of you are ok for sure. A buddy of mine and his son were rear ended in a similar fashion a few months ago...guy that hit them was high as a kite in a 1/2 ton chevy pickup. He and his son are both seeing the chiropractor regularly now for issues in their back and neck.

The question burning in my mind is was she (the girl that hit you) diddling with her cell phone while driving?

I don't know if she was texting or not, but I do know that she was late to school. She was immediately apologizing, which I stopped her, told her it was an accident, and that I was simply glad that she and everyone else was OK! Cars can be replaced. The impact was so hard and I was too dazed to be mad. I was just relieved we weren't hurt.

Glad to see everyone was able to walk away Brad! Nice to see you got a replacement already! Miss my Northstar!

Brad, whiplash is a serious issue when it comes to auto accidents. Its something that will have a lasting imact to you and your daughters health for the rest of your lives if its not addressed. I strongly recommend you do some reading about chiropractices, specifically you need to learn about corrective care. The only corrective care chiropratics practice that I am aware of is called CBP, Chiropractic Biophysics of Posture. Please take some time to visit www.idealspine.com and read about it. I strongly suggest you locate a CBP office near you and contact them. Some of them offer a first time consult for $20 which includes low exposure x-rays to assess your current spinal health and what options he would recommend for care.

That little Hyundai hit us so hard that it drove us into a BMW M5, and it into a 4th vehicle. It still amazes me that she walked away from that!

I am wise enough to recognize divine protection. And the resultant find of the new vehicle is no small blessing either. Cars are dispensable. My wife and family were hit by a drunk driver in the after noon (between 3:30-4:00). We lost the vehicle, he had no insurance, but I kept my family. Very grateful to this day for all the lessons learned and blessings counted!

I've been there to. Fortunately I lived and secondly, I was already seeing a CBP chiropractor and had x-rays that showed where my neck curvature was before the accident. Then after a few months of initial recovery and could be seen by him I got another x-ray and it showed I lost mid 90% of my curvature, the base of my skull moved forwarded 20 or 22mm from where it was prior to the accident. It took me 6-9 months of visits 2-3 times a week to get back to where I was initially. Physical therapy alone is not going to correct whiplash, just keep that in mind. The whole point to the CBP philosophy is to measure your spine and use traditional chiropractic adjustments combined with physical therapy and mirror image translation to correct the spine and to achieve optimal health.

If anyone has questions let me know, I'm a strong supporter of CBP and went to the most highly qualified CBP chiropractor in NY for 6 years. It might cost more than traditional chiropractors and its a lot more time commitment because they want you to visit 2-3 times a week but you don't pay by the visit you pay for 6 or 12 months of care. How often you decide to visit per week is up to you and what you want to gain from it, just like a gym membership but it's an investment in your spinal health.

FYI @blsnelling, there is a CBP certified instructor in Troy OH and looking at the other DC's in your area he appears to be the highest qualified DC in your area.

So glad to hear you and your daughter are OK.
Thorough investigation of the spine is now in order for both of you.

I sure have more respect for a Hyundai now. As indicated above, many people have called them throw-aways and worse.

Wow! Look how busted up her car was! Yours dont look that bad though. But you know it took an impact at that speed and the detail pics you posted.
Glad everyone is ok right now. Hope your daughter gets over the headaches soon.
You drive a pimp car!!

Brad Snelling. How busy are you? I would like to have a Makita 6421 ported out if possible. If you are too busy, could you recommend the next best person to do this? Thanks in advance.

Brad I am glad you and Anna walked away from it. See some good doc's and see a good physical therapist.

It wasn't an accident. It was carelessness. Your primary responsibility when operating a motor vehicle is the safety of others.
