Thanks fot that bump!

Just bringing this back because it was a great Idea.

I swapped out the studs on my 660 tonight. I was able to double nut the stock studs to get them out. I was also surprised it didnt take much elbow grease to get them out!!

Glad you bumped this up. Must call my dealer and order those studs this week! Great tip! Lakeside.

Ditto

Didn't even see this post or I didn't read it since I don't own a 361.

As always Lake great information.

Think they'll make anything like that for the big bar mount???

Nice Mod To A 361.

Just thought I'd resurrect this great thread.
Ordered my studs today.

Had to bring this back up. I had a little free time today and a little time was all it took. Well worth the effort for the 066...the bar stays a lot steadier on the new studs. It took more time to explain to the parts guy at the saw shop why I wanted 441 studs than it did to change them out :hmm3grin2orange:
Thanks again, Andy. Great fix and a major improvement.

I put these new studs in my 038 MAG. Worked out nice. The bar does not fall off as easy when I put the chain on. Be careful countersinking the cover as the drill will grab in the soft alum.

Glad you bumped this thread up! Thanks

At this moment I am with out a little saw, and will be picking up a 361 tomorrow or early Friday, I'll have the dealer order up a couple.

My 660 is good, had to do somewhat of the same mod, but with 880 studs (bigger base, striped when I bought it) for that, a .50" X 45 Deg. counter-stinker worked well to seat the clutch cover.

I love the look on my dealer's face when I give him a part number and an explanation. He then says "Oh we should have that in stock" and I say-"that would be great, but I don't think so". Its now on order and he loved the double dog kit-he didn't see it when I ordered it or when it came in. He got to try it today on my 361, likes it allot. Thanks Andy.

I stumbled across this thread and thought it would be a worth doing. Wanted to thank Lake for the great info and get this back into circulation for those who havn't seen it. :yoyo:
