Do you cut the squish at an angle or is it perpendicular to the bore?
I cut it square with the bore. No taper at all. I like to imagine that it helps increase squish velocity to be flat like that.

A black top 61 that needs a 272xp top end but does anyone know if i can use the original coil fr
I will when i get a meteor top end with a bit of port work and a timing advance it should make a pretty decent saw
Coil should be fine but you may have to install a longer HT wire to reach the spark plug on the 272 cylinderA black top 61 that needs a 272xp top end but does anyone know if i can use the original coil fr
Nothing exciting here Randy. Just porting one of those nasty X-Torq saws.
You know they don't take to kindly to porting.
