Now my 2800 uses plastic starter dogs to engage the notches in the flywheel.

The big ones are metal on metal, 4200 up
The 4000 and the 3700 are metal and plastic, the 3400, 3800 are plastic pulley. My good old 3400 is still go to go after all the years. If I was still working I would have built a new all metal 3400 pulley on my lunch hour with my cnc mill ,miss the hell out of using it

ok cheers for that. I definitely like the idea of machining 1 up I don't have any CNC stuff but still do able mite take a few lunches tho haha. Hell China could pop them out fairly cheap but have to buy 100 or something

She won’t win any beauty contests, but she’s a runner. 140 psi. Was to late to get a tune, but was nice to hear it fire up. Did a basic muff mod off the side. Play with it on the weekend.

Oh and I think I have enough parts between the two saws to get a chain brake rigged up. Except I need a brake band. Is there anything available out there ? Something that would work ?

Man o man she has been to the wood pile a few times just look at the battle scars, what a cutting machine. Glad you saved her from the junk lady. She is in need of R and R ,repair and renewal

It’s weaeing more paint then the green one. But case is broken in a couple spots. It’ll be a parts saw.

For me, this site is so slow it reminds me of dial up.

Reminds me of growing up with a party line to the house. Sometimes hit, but mostly miss. Lucky if you could find 10 minutes to call your girlfriend in the evening without the neighbours cutting in on your fun.
