I can almost smell the "new" from here. LOL Glad you were able to snag it without having to mortgage the farm. Pretty ballsy asking price, but for a pair of spare shotguns and couple o' bucks instead, it seems like ya did just fine. BTW, there's a bare bones 101AA kart engine up there now for $800 if anyone has any interest. Yikes.

Here's my PM800. I ran it quite a bit this past fall. If I told ya what I paid for it I'd hafta kill ya. Also came with a PM700 tossed in for good measure. Only thing wrong with it is a broken oiler button and it was tuned horribly rich when I got it. Starts right up and runs and cuts beautifully now with a 3/8's 24" 7 pin setup. I'm pretty proud of this one.

Nice saw poge. When did the bump/ridge around the tank start? Mine doesn't have that

It is interesting as the saw does not have a DSP valve and it has the earlier clutch cover that doesn’t have a cutout for the DSP all of which if original point to an early PM800. The tank points to a later model. Maybe the tank was replaced or it was one of the first with the band.

I am sure there was some good reason for the tank design change, but I don’t the reason.

A few more pictures of Ron and I's adventures today. The first picture is of the wood lot.

It's just not fair - you guys get to have all the fun, running big Mac saws & driving John Deere tractors! Lol
Ed
Ed, just come on down one Saturday and we will put one of those big saws in your hands. I don't know about driving the JD tractors, you will have to ask Ron on that after he buys either that one or one like it.... I just have an old Ford 2610 tractor. It's not a fancy as Ron's or the one he is going to buy. One day I am going to buy him a hood for his. May be for his birthday or make him one out of duct tape....lol

Great to see some videos you two lucky buggers:) the drone looks like it will live again.

Yea I'm trying to suck in all the info I can learning is good for the brain.

Does the decomp valve have anything to do with age as in was it option later on. Was the 805 around at the same time as the 800 or was the 800 ended. Or is it a classic example of marketing and parts bins of what ever.
