I made the mistake of trusting my nose to determine if I had the can of mix gas... Turns out, my nose was wrong... It's been an adventure finding parts. I had to carefully remove the gasket between the intake manifold and the head to reuse it. I also used some RTV (high temp, gas resistant) to back it up. Other than that, it's slowly coming back together.
Parts damaged: piston and cylinder wall.
Parts replaced: Used head from Heidi4217 on EBay, New piston from Lil Red Barn (llrbn) on EBay, New head base gasket from Timberline Sales on EBay, Used air filter from Bryanplust on EBay

Anyone know what's up with Chainsawr.com? Bought from them a few years ago when my flywheel fan disintegrated. Haven't heard boo from them this go-around.

That sucks! I’ve read a lot of posts like these. I don’t understand why people don’t have one very clearly identifiable can that they only use for mixed gas that way they always know. I bet you do, now!

Good luck on the rebuild, hopefully it all goes well. I’d do a base gasket delete while you’re already in there.

Too late on the base gasket delete... But, I guess it would take much at this point to do it. What do you recommend in its place?

And, yes... I have a can CLEARLY marked as mix now! lol!

Intake side. It is possible that it is a combination of the wrong gas and foreign objects. But I do know, for sure, that it was unmixed gas.

Motoseal is what I was advised here to use and is what I bought to put my 365 back together. I found it at advanced auto parts

Pretty sure the pins are still in place. I'll have a second look when Ibget home from work.
