None take, Yes, that’s the same saw. Shows good compression, cylinder looks good. After cleaning carb it runs great. It’s been fun so far and had some really big logs recently to cut, was quite happy to have a “big” saw. I need a new 92dl chain.
Try calling around your local Stihl dealers and ask if they have a two for one sale going. My dealer in Frederick had one going for about 5 years, thought it would never end. I have enough 20", standard 3/8 for my MS 290 that I converted over from 3/8LP to last the rest of my life. Last time I went in they finally quite doing it. But, another dealer over in Liberty Town has one every fall. The one in Frederick would only sell boxed chains. The one in Liberty Town will custom cut chains at 2 for 1. He said he would cut me two .404 chains for my 45" bar on my Super 1050.

Cold weather helped me make some progress on my Super XL925 project, I installed a new piston in the cleaned up original cylinder and did a BGD since there's no danger of free porting.
Those tiny oil lines are a pita but at least every thing is clean.
A few screws for the clutch shield and intake/ carburetor assembly and hopefully she'll roar to life.

Those saws are not screamers but with a full slip it better pull a 31” bar. That’s what homelite advertised them as for max bar length. I’ll assume it’s in good condition with something at least in the 165 range for compression. If it’s not then 31 may be a struggle depending on what wood you are cutting

I had a friend send me a marketplace listing for this ECS. I have been looking for one for quite some time as I've got the generator that powers it. 230 volt 3 phase 180 cycle. It's the first chainsaw model that Homelite manufactured.

That looks like a 7-29 style bar mount.
