Not that it is any of my business but I truly hope the two of you can work a deal. That is what this site was designed for many years ago. Over the years it has lost it's focus which in NO WAY is a complaint about moderation, it is simply a comment about membership changes. I will not name anyone but in this thread you have received some excellent advice from some excellent members and I will leave it at that.. I really think a good deal is about to be formed which is GREATI will contact you ASAP, I'm with family today taking up my time
Scott,If you're looking for something reasonably affordable, I think a Stihl 075/076 makes a good milling saw. You can find one that needs TLC for $400 or so, it's 111cc, lots of torque, large fuel tank, and there are only a few difficult to find parts for them.
Scott,
I jokingly must disagree. I am looking at a 075 right now that has a ton of difficult to find parts.. A fine gentleman asked about it awhile back and I took a look. The more I looked the worse it got. I found it very difficult to find a single part on a complete saw that was actually usable.

Now this is funny. There are many MANY jobs in life that I would be poor at and near the top of the list is being a comedian. I am horrible at humor but laugh a lot.
In post #25 I was attempting to make a tongue in cheek humorous post about difficult to find parts on a 075. I failed at making it humorous. I have no idea what parts are available anymore from different sources. I was trying to be funny by saying that I have an 075 that does indeed have a lot of difficult to find parts. What I was meaning was it is "difficult to find a usable part on it" I pulled it out awhile back as someone was interested. The further I took it apart the worse the damage was.....I found it difficult to find a usable part on that particular saw not 075's in general
top cover busted
recoil busted
handle brace busted
main case busted
flywheel busted
carb stack looks like it was on the Titanic
clutch froze.
Oh yeah it is locked up.
I was just trying to be funny but failed

I have a NOS chain brake if you that for only $150 more with purchase of saw ( hard to find)How much for each, especially ugly Betty, that would make a great restoration project
