Yup concrete ftw!

Log yards without it are 👎 especially on the west coast....

It's looking really good buddy.... you'll be a real "logger" yet.....;)

Man, I'd like to trade you some oak and hickory for a couple loads of that spruce...
Spruce for oak and hickory?🤔

Thats good scrounge,,,,, close to the truck even.. Bet you'll go back there.

It was very nice wood. Most of the rest of it is suspended a foot or more off the ground and won't be as quick and easy to scrounge as there's a lot of weight there.

I will go back, though. I have to. Because it's there.

I hope that these are random variations, for the sake of my kids, and their kids.

Me too, but in the end "those days will be cut short".
Looks like quite a bit of devastation last evening/night from the tornadoes and high winds.
Sounds biblical to me, doubtful it has anything to do with what man is doing.
It could be, and don't doubt that man has some control over it, but doubt that it's the direction they want you to look currently(carbon). Weather control/manipulation goes way back and its a known fact that countries and companies have been doing it. It even talks about it and that countries cannot use it against their own people in the Geneva Convention 🧐 , and how long ago was that. There's a reason it never rained during the Olympics in china.
Could be. Unless you believe in biblical retributions!

Philbert
I believe in both.
Man has often tried to play God, nothing new here.
3/10ths of an inch of snow here in Philadelphia this winter…..crazy.
Like momma always said, you get what you get and don't throw a fit :p.
Good to see you sir :).
Even Mother Nature appreciates a good April Fools prank!

That's beautiful, great picture.
We've seen very little accumulation this yr. I think I used the tractor to clear the drives once and my neighbor did once, mainly just to do something it looked like to me.

w. pine in the AdirondacksView attachment 1071255
Man are those some straight sticks.
I like seeing all the huge loads of white pine, here a load containing hardwood would be two of those bunks on an eight axle trailer with a semi set up to haul heavy(heavier steer and drive axles and a few other options), grossing around 165k.
I loaded a buddy up with some cherry Thursday and the second trailer he brought over we had to air the tires up(they still had the summer air in them 😆), the u-bolts were dragging on the ground, I bet it wasn't more than 2500 lbs lol. At least the 2500 suburban I helped him buy had no problem hauling it.
Probably looked like this going down the rd:laughing:.

I think a guy would be better off using way oil or STP instead of straight motor oil. It's clingy and would stay put. I use Fluid film, corrosion X and LPS 3 airplanes. I also use ACF-50 in a fogger. All work well.
I ride my motorcycle year round in PA. An ACF-50 coating helps keep the corrosion to a minimum.

Time for a rear suspension upgrade. :D
Soon, maybe lol. The rear add a leaf I’m looking at will lift it 1.5” and add about 500lbs capacity to the spring pack. Like to add 2.5” to the front as well. Turbo back exhaust and a tune for the type s sounds like fun too, Just money right?
At least get some air bags.
If the helpers don’t add enough, I’ll probably just add timbrens to it.

What do they charge for a vehicle?

they get $1400
There was a guy in here a while back who posted about spraying used motor oil on the frames of his vehicles....certainly effective but probably not very environmentally friendly lol.
That was the thing back in the day. I'm sure it's still done
It’s a 4.7 tundra lol, it will run a million miles with no worries of wheelies loaded or not lol.
Reminds me of my 76 Chevy 1/2 ton. I had to put some logs in the front passenger floor a few times to get it to steer better. But I can say that the say the springs had seen better days

You guy that just bought battery saws should have waited. :surprised3:
For a minute there I forgot what day it was and was trying to figure out how to respond!

Kinda like when Trek came out with their replacement Carbon Fiber Collar bone for all the bikers that had broken theirs. The replacement was lighter and stronger than the original!!! That also went on sale on April 1.
