Chevy never made a 4bolt main 327 engine. They made the large journal 327 in 1968 and they made the 350 in 1967 as a large journal engine for camaros, heard rumors of it being a 4bolt, but have never seen one. Also in 68 chevy did away with the 283 and made the 307. The 307 used the 283 bore and the 327 crank. The old school trick for building a 302 was using a small journal 283 crank in a small journal 327 block for most of us that couldnt afford a real 302. Chevy only built a little over 600 302s in 1967.
Yes you are correct it’s a large journal engine .

i like those decals!!! 🤩
:givebeer:

U mite need a little more toolbox to go with all those stickers. :dancing:

I like me some stickers lol. Whenever I get stickers, I usually throw them on one of the boxes. I've adorned my shop with all sorts of stuff...posters, racing number plates, racing trophies, worn-out bicycle frames, junk saw cylinders, my old fire helmets, etc. Makes it "interesting" in there, lots of fun and special memories on those walls.

Springtime is finally here, I got out for a mtb ride today. I've got back into xc racing, so I've been training a lot, but most of my riding has been indoors on a trainer this year. It feels good to be outside for a change.

I've been fixing up the "old" bike. It's got a brand new set of wheels on it, I'm still waiting on a seal kit for the rear shock...that's coming all the way from Ukraine lol. The shock is blown out and quite "bouncy" ATM.

Put a tank through the 241 and got a fair bit done. It was an interesting process since these trees were pushed over with an excavator and working out where the stresses were. Happy to say I haven't made any painful mistakes yet. Seeing all these scroungable logs I was :crazy2:

Put one load in the ute but had a lot left over. I plan to bring the child slaves tomorrow to do some lugging and loading while I keep on cutting. All peppermint :sweet: .

first pix reminds me of some deer hunting my Dad and i did in Oregon. pretty pix!

i had not ridden my bike past few weeks. has pin hole. holds air but seeps. well, hardly would hold air when i got back to ride it again. how bad? took the pump with me next day's ride. filled at half mile twice. then seemed to hold. did not need air rest of ride. 5 mi. hope it is ok for today... 🤞

it'll need air, but if it holds... 👍

but the '70 LT-1 350 was definitely a 4-bolt main, steel crank sbc! same rod and crank journals as the 307! i had one i scrounged up in a hot rod buy deal... was going to pass on it, til seller said i am moving out of state, so all this is for sale, too!

i bought the entire package!!! the LT-1 was still NIB in the crate!!! :blob2:

if anyone has to ask what color was the paint splash on the parts... ha, they must be driving old Buicks!

often even that is all but worthless! incident after incident where the hunter (s) emptied rifles into a charging bear... the bear won! rifle bent, lost. stock busted, lost. dead hunters, lost! the bear over on side... heart and lungs blown away from the incoming shrapnel... but the bear stayed alive and finished its mission!

:omg:

Finished up the bed . Went for a ride really need to get radial tires it’s got 10 ply bias on it now . Feels like I’m driving a John Deere . But everything works and no rattles very unusual for a ground up restoration. View attachment 1076803
looks nice! not often at 40K miles... a ground up restoration is needed! i prob could have gone just 'plug n play!

🤔 hmm, thinking that trailer hitch is an anomaly! ;)

stopped in for some mower gasoline yesterday. and there was a pair of Ford A roadster pickups. A-V8's (sbc) 28 and a 29. both genny tin! the 28 was in brown primer. done to be a kid's rod in High School circa 60s. nice! had two chains on back of pick up bed/tailgate. both had covers. body sat on 32 rails with steel 32 tank, too!
