I must have missed that patented starting technique.....

I always let my saws run for a bit after cutting. Figured it gave them a chance to cool off some. Ironically, I did run the 400 out of fuel this evening. Ran like shite for a bit after it (finally) started then back to cutting. One thing I like about the husqy auto tune is there's still a choke and usually a purge bulb. Run the 562 out of fuel and it was a few pushes of the purge bulb, 2 pulls on choke then a pull or two with high idle. It was pretty easy to run that thing out of fuel too, by the time it ran goody the tank was dry. The 400 let's you know early enough to shut it down before it runs bone dry.(usually I f-ed that up this evening.)
Well, his new MM 500i is stupid fast, lol 😀😀
a bit grabby in 24” Maple with the 8t but I can change raker height to fix that 😁. And…you can hear this baby for miles, lol
happy camper!

Don't thing I said it here, but I screwed up on where I placed the back wall of the deep end. The grade on the back side of the dam was going to come all the way to the edge of the deep end, I wanted about 12' of flat on top to drive/walk around. So I had to fill a large portion of the deep end in :dumb: , but I guess that's what you get for the price lol. I've probably got 3hrs into filling it in already, and another hr or two to go. I've actually filled it a bit more than this picture shows.

This one gives a better idea of the depth on the higher side, the tractor is about is about 3/4 the way into the deep end. The larger cherry just left of the tractor is close to where the end of the pond should come out, as long as my new calculations are right :).

I KNOW you're going to stock that baby, right? What with?

I will assume you have a t-shirt…”Still plays with tractors”. 😀
I don't, but I should have.
I do enjoy running equipment.

I do want to. I'm not sure how far off that is, I didn't plan on it being this far along, I was hoping to have it done by the end of next summer. Not sure I'll get it lined with clay by the end of summer, if I do I'd hope it would be full by late next spring. I think it needs to have plants growing in it to provide oxygen for the fish before I put anything in it.
I really know nothing about building a pond, but building one I should learn pretty quick.

Most folks I know with ponds, spend a lot of money trying to keep plants out of their ponds, once started they fill up with weeds ect. and you have a deep swamp. lol

I did a walk around video on these graders today if anyone is interested.

Best part was when it was getting towed :cold::lol:.
I bet it will be smoother if you turn those front tires around lol. Mine are on backwards because I only had one when I had a flat, then I had another flat so the other got turned around, the guys here gave me a hard time, so you know I gotta kick that down the road.
Whats the pony motor for.

Aeration is what you need . Either constant water flow /exchange or a fountain to maintain O2 levels for the fish .

I lived on the Kenal Peninsula for many years and ran an old CAT grader like that. Also, a Gallion too...

I bladed a lot of streets with those two.

Maybe it was that one lol.
Funny he found the extra motor only one number off, but I bet they don't go too far once they get there.

I agree with that, but I still need a source of oxygen in there, and I'm not thinking a windmill will work very well. I just might have a deep swamp :sucks:.

I've looked at some solar aerators, don't know if one of those would be enough. I'm not sure what I'll do, still looking into it and asking lots of questions.

The pony motor is a small gas engine that acts as the "starter" for larger diesel equipment. John Deere used them on tractors at least into the 50's even - and those tractors are tiny by comparison to today.

I've told myself there's probably guys on the scrounging thread that do it all the time. :crazy2:
I usually just sit down and shake my head and cry. Then ask myself , why did you just borrow $12,000 to buy another John Deere, when you already have 5 of them? Then I tell myself, because it came with over $25,000 in extras! See, I know exactly what to say to make me feel better.

Well, to be honest, I wasn't sure if Brett was making a statement, asking a question, or just talking to himself. But I answered anyway!
That does seem to be a recurring problem of late. Just cause I'm not paranoid doesn't mean they aren't trying to get me. I may or may not be communicating from my bunker.
