Good day from New Brunswick, Canada gents.
Just wanted to introduce myself as I've been reading through this thread for a while and really enjoyed the discussion about all things outdoors with the occasional firewood score.
We don't heat our home with firewood, but I do scrounge some up where I can to heat my woodworking shop through the winter.
Here is my small scrounge from this morning. Some blown-down spruce on public land and a 4pt shed:View attachment 1136399
I quit my town tree wardens job last May. No more going out inspecting trees, getting tree removal quotes or hiring contractors to do tree work.Numerous trees down everywhere in roadways,
I can see my grandson climbing up that antler ladder. When the wife lets her deer hunter husband put up the Christmas tree.

Despite the heavy rain there are already reports of trees down on the rail trail... surprise!Numerous trees down everywhere in roadways,
Bits and pieces if you know where to look . That doesn't stop them from getting exclusive logging rights to those areas for pennies on the dollar to the government though. The icing on the cake being that they bank offshore in Bermuda to shirk the tax man.Wait... there's public land in New Brunswick? I though the Irving's owned it all?
I always get a kick out of it when I see something like this pop up on facebook. A fella could make himself a mint if he could tap into the interior decorator birch market.
You better get you some of that.... a guy don't see firewood at that price everyday...I always get a kick out of it when I see something like this pop up on facebook. A fella could make himself a mint if he could tap into the interior decorator birch market.
Yep, I see people trying to sell ziploc bags of sawdust....My wife jokes about starting an etsy shop with stuff like that at half the next guys cheapest price. Not like it would take any time or effort, it's mostly stuff that would get bucked and chucked into the shed without splitting anyway.
Gonna need a big bag.Yep, I see people trying to sell ziploc bags of sawdust....
I could do that... View attachment 1136741View attachment 1136742View attachment 1136738
