I can bring a Weber BBQ, the kind that runs on charcoal briquettes. I might also be able to bring a double batch of Congo Bars; not as tasty as huckleberry pie, but still good for a snack. I'll also see if I can pick up a gallon or two of Tillamook ice cream and some dry ice to keep it cold.

Just because I bring a BBQ doesn't mean I know how to run it. Anyone more experienced than me is welcome to use it. ;>)

Hey that would be great. I just wondering how many outhouses I need to order.lol

We will bring our BBq with a big slab of meat to cook and share.
We'll also bring stuff for breakfast for a couple of days too and snacks.
Also might make some dessert too to bring.
The Hubby and I will bring our hard core drinks of Rootbeer and Diet coke.
So how many more are gonna camp there?
Looking forward to meeting you all.
Oh and we will be there on Saturday, Hubby got the weekend off.

LOL...If Slowp comes through with the huckleberry pies you might need several. Wait a minute...I don't think I meant that like it sounded. Slowp? Hey Slowp? Just kidding, Slowp...honest. :D

LOLOL!!!!!! Im just trying to Help all I can Bob!!!!!

slowp,, He was just kidding!!!!

i am bringing myself and a chair...

but i usually end up helping where needed... so chalk me up as a kitchen wench...

forgive my oversight, please... it was a very very long day... i omitted to say that i will bring what is missing-- be it paper plates or rolls for BBQ or whatever... i figure i'd wait until we see what people are bringing and i'll fill in a gap or two... sigh... i am not only bringing me & a chair... long day... very very long day... :dizzy:

Maybe we should make a thread on just what people are bringing to the PNW gettogher. So everyone can scan it and then write in what there bringing.

Ruh roh. I might have to have a lottery for pieces of pie. Not sure how many berries are left. I was figuring on 2 pies. I did buy a bunch of stuff for cookies. They don't always come out soft though but can be dunked in coffee or milk--not sure about beer. The fallers on one crew say they'll do anything for my cookies after I presented them with a batch for helping me get my pickup out of a bad situation unscathed. Got salsa too. I'll bring a few good beers for beer tasting and my own stash of girl beers (Diet Pepsi). Everybody should also plan on a monetary donation to Bookerdog to help with expenses.
Oh, I went to town and got 36 cute nametags and a few Barbie Stickers in case anybody wants to Barbiecize their saw. :)

I can find a few chairs and I have a folding table. Anything else?

i'll just steal a taste of Bob's (Gologit) pie... i'm new to the PNW and haven't been bitten by the lust for huckleberrys yet...

and when all is said and done, i'll ask for folks to tell me what gaps there are in the fixin's...

I don't think he's gonna get any pie. I'm thinking of making him a special ex-lax cookie so his outhouse prediction can come true.:greenchainsaw:

Three things that are sacred to this PNW'er, and many others: (all seasonal treats) Morels, Huckleberries, and SPRING Chinook. I had a potential Mother-in-Law once that use to make one Huckleberry pie a year and we all got ONE piece a year. There is a lot of precious berries in a Huckleberry pie. It's a PNW thing, you wouldn't understand:)

:hmm3grin2orange: I had to wait awhile to reply to this post cause it took me that long to find a shovel big enough to dig myself out of trouble.

I was just alluding to the digestive lubrication qualities of too much huckleberry pie. Any huckleberry pie. Even yours. Been there...done that....enough information. I'll bring a large bottle of Liquid Cork just in case.

I may have to pass (no pun intended) on the special cookie...let the young guys try those out. They're tough, they can do the crouching fifty yard cross country dash faster than their elders...and they bounce back sooner, too.

Or...save the special cookies for the Hooktender From Hell...there's always one of those around.

you guys' and ladies are going to have way too much fun, I hope you do.

Every GTG i've gone to has been great fun-- and i am simply an observer... and this one is a delight as i only have about a 4 hour drive-- on the east coast, i drove 780 miles each way... plus, this gives me the opportunity to see parts of Washington that I haven't seen yet...

But TRIN, i'm in Texas. It would take me a week to drive there.
