I'm looking for an OEM cylinder for the 024 Super. I suppose I won't turn down a quality aftermarket cylinder if it's a good deal.

Also needing a carb from the MS360 for my 034 so I can run the larger 360 air filters. I believe this was the Zama C3A?
To go with this I need a low-profile tank vent like those on the 044. According to my IPL it should fit the 034 tank. P/N 0000 350 5800.

Thanks!

You cant change your vent its proppietary to your tank.not sure what your trying to do.

I dont think your gonna be able to change your filter.you can get blank off plate for carb from stihl and remove compensator.

You’ll need an MS360 rear cover to run the compensating large air filter. You can simply plug the comp hole with a foam earplug and try it on the carb you run now, which will likely be better than the newer C3A. The older Zama and Tilly had richer fuel circuits.

I’m not certain on the vent, as I’ve never done the swap you want to do, always the opposite. I know it holds true for an 026, not sure on an 034.

You can swap out your bottom plate for a comp one as well. Many would love to swap you, including me. The hot setup is the metal 036 old style filter on a noncomp carb.

I’ve got an 024S sitting here that can spare its top end. Just need to check condition.

Thanks! That's really helpful. I've got the 360 rear cover and the longer carb studs, so I just need an earplug :chainsaw:

If I understand, I can get a compensating bottom plate from one of the 036(Pro?) carbs and throw it on my 034 carb? Seem like the way to fly.

If it helps your vent problem, I use these adapters from a string trimmer, I think. They plug the hole and replace the talk vent, you can then use fuel line with grub screws. 2018-02-17 19.48.35.png

Thanks, that's helpful.

I guess I should clarify more. I buy the adapter, drill it out with 1/8" drill bit, run two grub screws into it, 1 from inside and 1 outside and use that. You can use fuel line, but it kinks by the filter.

This is the setup on a 036, works on a 26, but there is a tiny bit more room between the two:

I probably show post this on the chainsaw forum too.
