I was just wandering if you could install a side access chain tensioner on an 028 WB? I know that I would need a new side cover but it would just be so much easier to have it versus the old front chain tensioner.

Does anyone have the part numbers/descriptions handy for converting a 028 AV Super to the side chain (bar cover) tensioner type?
What parts exactly are needed? I'm wondering about the thin metal plate that mounts to the crank case, does this need to be changed or can you use modify/drill the existing plate?

I had a junk 044 setting here. I noticed the 028 I had was made for either the front screw type or the side unit. So I just switched everythign form the 44 to the 28. Now just need to get the side cover. Later tonight I will post the numbers for you.
