028 wont run

i've got spark and compression is 130 but it wont run.it trys to fire if you prime it through the carb but all you get is a couple quite coughs the mffler isnt plugged either.is that compression low?

It should start with 130 comp, got to be something else.

Try a new plug, otherwise I'm guessing fuel related. (spark+comp+fuel--zoom zoom)

It should run at 130lbs. Since your priming it through the carb and getting a a few burps your probably looking at a fuel issue. For a 2 cycle engine to draw fuel it has to have a sealed crankhousing, if the crank seals are bad it will not draw fuel from the carb. Check those crank seals, its a old saw. If they are good and you got good spark the problem lies within the carb itself, pulse hose or fuel hose and filter, those are the only players left in delivering the fuel..
