064 failure to start

Just picked up a 064 off of here last week, big bore kit Yadda yadda. Ran it on my strip half of last week and it did fantastic. Neighbor came by the shop last night and wanted to see it run. Popped right off and ran like a dream. Loaded it and my old 390 in the back of the crummy and headed home. Got to the job, packed up my gear and hiked back my new strip. And pulled and pulled and pulled..... And pulled..... Nothing. Not a burp. Checked the plug, have spark. But nothing. Had to radio the landing to send up my backup saw.... Need troubleshooting ideas! Got to get that saw back up tonight if possible and the 064 (and most Stihls) are foreign to me.

Well, you need compression, fuel and spark - was the plug wet and did you confirm good, hot spark? Compression feels good?

Compression feels awesome, smelled like it was flooded, plug was dampish. Had ok ish spark.

Try pulling a few time w/plug out to clear it. Clean plug see if it pops. If no pop, plug is dry, a timble of fuel in carb, try again. If it pops it's fuel related. If not maybe spark is weak. Bosch coil?

And just like that..... It magically started fine this afternoon. Gremlins..... Dang saw gremlins. We will see if it starts in the morning on the back of my strip.
