064 leaks fuel from carb just sitting

The other guys are the ones with sharp eyes and actually caught that the gasket was mis-indexed, from the photos.
Give them the credit!

I would have had to had the carb in my hands and then pulled the cover to have seen it.

Now it seems so obvious, I'm just glad to have had all the input.
 
It's always the little things that get you.

I noticed the tan diaphragm tab in the pics but didn't think about the gasket tab not being there before i logged off last night.

When i do a rebuild i lay out the old parts for reference. They stay in a plastic tray on the bench till i get the saw running properly. Then i trash them. This has helped on a few carbs that had to sit a few days before reassembly. Work gets in the way of saw stuff sometimes.
