066 red eye update/questions

i am in the preocess of going through the ebay 066. i came across a couple things i am not sure about. the first is the oiler. it looks like the worm retainer spring has been spinning around and beating everything up. but the saw was oiling, so i am not sure what the point of it is and what needs to be replaced. the next question is about the muffler. mine appears to be different than the single port muffler i had seen pics of in a muffler mod thread. the external exhaust hole is bigger then 3/8" and there are holes on the sides as well as the bottom of the 'box'. so what muffler is this?

That wire sticking out is the drive tang. Look at the clutch drum. See that notch in the edge of it? The drive tang is supposed to fit there. If it is forced on without lining up it will hit on things like yours did, Get a new drive and put it on correctly. The muffler is just the old style 066/064. Mike
