20161104_183840.jpg Hello been looking on the site for quite some time just picked up a 084 the other day from an auction and i don't know much about saws but i do know from what I've read this one is expensive if you don't get it right so what i have is a 084AV 36 duromatic looks like a new cylinder and carb have been installed my question is what should i do to insure this saw gives me years of service i won't be using it but a couple of times a year when the wood is to big for my MS362CM should i get a tach to tune the carb it runs and idles fine now sounds like a 383 stroker idling 20161102_150948.jpg 20161103_144810.jpg

If someone has replaced the cylinder, then I would say pressure and vacuum test. Others will chime in soon.

I'll get that stuff done this week should there be any drop in vacuum and what's a good compression number it should be at?
