In an effort to keep clearing the shelves of projects that likely won’t happen.......
Looks like a 181 that received an AM 288 top end. I can’t confirm that it’s 288 cylinder but the markings seem to indicate that “sss ++ 88” I can’t remember other markings- I can get them for you if needed.
I put some fuel in it and she fired in 4 pulls. Idled nicely and sounds good. Oiler works as it should. Chain brake work.piston looks clean and compression at 150.
Bad-
Cylinder has a couple fins where corners were broke off, and it looks like OO JB welded back on.
Some chain rash.... some jb weld smeared on corner of fuel tank... don’t know if it had a leak it doesn’t seem to leak now.
Full wrap needs some aluminum welded to replace damage from thrown chain.
Plastics aren’t shiny and pretty.
Muffler was “modded” in a total hack job
And the owner stamped his name on cylinder.
I think that’s everything.......
$325 shipped PHO within the western/mid US. If you are in New York, Alaska etc I may need to check the shipping cost.
