That thing looks real interesting, though I must admit the 1/2" pich chain on a 12 " bar looks a little out of place by todays standards but it looks like that was the was she came from the factory.

5500 rpm but I'll be that saw right there is a real torque machine, 98cc on a 12" bar... all I can say is they dont build em like that anymore :chainsaw:

I know alot of you find the old saws interesting. I would have to disagree. I like the last of the reed valve saws they all were awesome.JMO.:spam:
 
BLK = Benzin Leicht Klein, and it sure was at the time!

....but by 1957 the Contra was right around the corner......

..and the (West) German Army kept using the KS43 until 1973, as well as the newer designs.

I just missed a Auction on a really nice 181 husky and it was Green too.
I will say this much Army surplus is a good deal the equipment is very well maintained unless it isWW2 stuff.
