Craftsman 3.7 61cc (358.356091) that is the same thing as a poulan 3800. Comes with the original 20" bar, a 20" power match bar barely used, 6 Oregon LGX full comp chains, and 2 Oregon JGX skip-tooth chains. Skip chains are barely used, the 6 lgx are used but not very much at all. At least 3/4 left on each chain. Muffler is opened a little. Powerful work saw, pretty clean too. $300 + shipping.

Very true before the muffler mod I preferred a Poulan 5020 from Menards over it. Now I prefer it over a ported Husq 55 for bucking.

Right on I've found a couple saw deals on there too not that good though. Found a Stihl ms 210 at goodwill for $35 though. Only needed a plug and cord yanked like 20 times fast

I dunno, but it wont cut more than 3" limbs now, can't go deeper than an inch on bigger stuff. Guess I should maybe invest in a compression tester finally

Ok thanks, I'll get a tester soon. I locked up a poulan 2300, started knocking real bad and then when i turned it off it locked, don't know what's up with that

It SHOULD work, I would do multiple tests with it on anything u know runs right, make sure it's consistent. Then let me know cuz that's the one I would buy from HF. As far as that lock up I've dumped some Mystery oil in the cylinder, let it sit and see if un-seizes. Either low oil mix or maybe bad crank bearings are possible.

Right on I'll try to get one tommorow. It sure sounded like there were bearings loose in there. The 2300 is easy to take apart so I'll open it up and see what i can see

Just tried the harbor freight tester on my ported husq 55 and it said 30psi... I think I'm doing it wrong or the tester doesn't work. I tried with engine cold and warm. Hand tighten the fitting into the cylinder, hand tight the hose, attach the guage.. while depressing the throttle pull 3 times fast. 30 psi.. I've tried also not open throttle and pulling slow. The saw rips through an 8in limb in like 2 seconds so I doubt30psi is right.
