As for the aluminum comments? It's come a long way in strength. We are not moving mountains here. It's a log.. That can only be so big for the peavy/log grabber thingy to latch to.

Anyone seen a new F-150? Aluminum. . I hope nobody buys those unless they are reinforced. . ;)
 
Logrite cant hooks are aluminum pipe too.

You ever get any solid aluminum bar scrap,,,of the rectangular type? It won't bend, break, or crack near as easy as small round pipe. I do like what you did though. Will work well up to a certain size log.

So are Stihl and both are made by the same company... And people still buy them.. :)

Aluminum? Not strong.

To the naysayers.. Ask Logrite and Stihl how many they sold?
 
The woodchuck dual I have is aluminum tubing but its pretty thick wall and it hasn't budged yet. It does have a steel sleeve that wraps around the aluminum to hold the hook. I can't see me being able to bend or break it by hand. So unless this is some very thin walled stuff then you should be fine.
