3/8p vs .345 for ms241

Hi,

When I bought my 241 2 years ago, it was equipped with a 18" bar and 3/8p chain. In the new stihl catalogue for 2014, I noticed that the 241 (along with the 251) comes only with .325" with .063" gauge.

Is it a specific reason for this upgrade which I have to consider?

My main use of the chainsaw is for preparing firewood.

But I still can understand why Stihl changed the chain specifications...
