First it would bog down and couldn't get up to full rpm (or even half). After the compression test / carb kit / spark plug / etc. it starts, idles, and runs great for a couple minutes, then quits when it gets hot. The shop said it might be the coils?

I don't know much about these ... if you guys can help me be confident in a fix, I'd love to send it to a guru to have it fixed and ported at the same time.

I sent it up to @Chainsaw Jim and he pretty quickly figure out one of the issues ... my local shop had put the wrong carb kit in it



Can't wait to see what kind of magic he can work on this machine!

I got my saw back today, put in some fuel & oil and it fired right up. Sounds mean! Going to take it out and see how it cuts on Saturday, can’t wait.

Success! Works like a champ. Found a big cherry tree today, took 5 tanks of gas through the saw.
The wood is for a smoker and will mostly end up making brisket, aka the reason cows were made.
