Hi I’m in the process of converting my closed port or 365 to a 372 I’ve already switched the cylinders and carbs ect. I’m going to swap the coils as well unless they are both unlimited. Not sure how to tell. Here’s pictures of both. When I’m done I will be selling one saw, the one with the 372 chassis and a 365 closed port top end with a fairly new meteor piston . the one that says d8 72 is from my old 365 which I’m kind of inclined to use as its a relatively low hour saw. any ideas?07EFB7FA-0995-4893-B188-D5A215E53979.jpeg74A66D3D-E71D-4FD4-9F90-5185C59F54AA.jpeg

Blue coils are limited

If you have a 365 and a 372, and you swap cylinders, you’ll have a 372 and a 365. Or maybe I’m missing something
This is true! I have a very clean 365 that was my first "real" saw, and I seem to be attached to emotionally. I came across a well used 372 with a brand new OEM top end at a price I couldnt pass up. So when I'm done, I will have a very clean saw with a new upgraded top end and I will sell the other one ( 372 chassis with a 365 top end). Hopefully, this upgrade will end up costing me about 100$. Plus, it's a fun project and sometimes old retired guys need a chainsaw project. ( it's really not my fault, would not have done this but the chainsaw obsession of arboristsite is contagious!)
