I wouldn't trade my 372 for either a 044 or a 461. Both are great saws, but there's something about a OE 372XP.
The original 372's are definitely one of husky's best saws. I've owned at least 6 of em over the years. But there is something about the front handle angle of Husqvarnas that just feels wrong to me. Dolmars are even worse.
I prefer the stihl's, I feel they are better built and more rugged, even if they're a little behind in comfort and performance.
Now my 2171 J'red is one I'm kicking myself for selling.

I've been running the one I got from you quite a bit. Got maybe 10 tanks on it. Really nice saws I got a 2172 that pulls great as well
