I had a bad leak on the hydraulic bucket level and over the course of repairing and testing the fluid is now really low and the boom won't reach full height. I just want to know what type of fluid is used in these units. The boom is a 1993 model on a 6x6 osh kosh truck. Any info will be very helpful, thanks.

Check with Terex which took over High Ranger. I don't know much about your boom, but I do know using the proper viscosity oil is important so call the manufacturer I get the right info

Yes check and be sure I use a multi viscosity non conductive fluid. Around 60/ 5 gallon

Thanks guys for the info. I was sure that there was something special about it. Would have just put regular fluid instead of the non conductive.

The majority of hydro oil is non conductive, make sure you put in the correct weight( 46. 32. 22 etc
