Summer in Texas usually means putting up the saws and getting out the fishing poles, kayaks, and the coolers. I was at work and bossman said this oak tree needed to go. This morning I was able to take advantage of a cooler morning so I grabbed the 046 put on an 18" bar and a fresh chain and threw some chips. Brad (blsnelling) had given me a modded muffler cover for this saw a few months back and today was the first day that I personally got to put it through its paces in wood. No wonder its considered by many to be one of the best all time saws.

This was where I work at the state park. Sometimes its cool to get paid to throw chips!

Good job on sawring up that tree. What kind of weather do you guys get in Texas... does it get very cold in winter?

We get hot weather. Cold is in the 40s.
