Macman you sh!t disturber! Lol! I hope Marty can make it. Hope I can too. He has developed some pretty specialised tricks with round files but that chain is not like out of the box round chisel chain either. I wouldn't bet much on 25%

Here is the latest and greatest model. This is as extreme of a down angle as you can file. You can see the nick in the tie strap. The top plate angle is 20 degrees. The side hook is 3 degrees. The top plate cutting edge is angled 35 degrees from horizontal looking edgewise at the top of the tooth. Any blunter and the file cuts into the chain much more.
 
Nice work, Tony, super! Interesting how you can project the contact with the tie strap. You can see that as the cutter gets filed back it will contact further back near the centre of a strap between the rivets where it is doesn't matter. I have seen some BADLY hacked and stay together. Now when you can file them all to look like that on the chain, you will be the man! Those would be very good target angles for a working chain; forget about that 45 deg stuff on Madsens site.
