Has anyone ever used spray on filter oil on a chainsaw.
Had a 395xp brought to me to get the chain touched up and when looking at the air filter it had spray on oil on it.
Lots of dust stuck on filter:bang:

I could see how it would stop the dust but how do you clean it easily? When I'm the bush, to quickly clean my dry filter I just use a soft tooth brush or just blow on mine and it's GTG.

I tried oiling a filter on an 041 one time back in the 70's. It run too rich. I quickly washed and dried it and never tried that again.

splosh all chainsaw airfilters with gasoline to clean them. throw them back on wet and run the dam saw :pumpkin2:

an airfilter is worthless if it can't handle gas, it'd have to be chinese junk if it couldn't, six hours in the rain your filters a sludgy sopping mess if you're not swishing it with gas every tank, (an echo or some other inferior brand will just splutter to a halt) pro stihls and their like don't need primping with feather dusters
