Alaskan mill and saw advice

I have access to numerous Oak, Cherry, Maple and Hickory logs for thick slab live edge cutting, or cutting into 1" thick usable boards and need advice on what Chainsaw and Alaskan rig, or bandsaw to purchase and use to safely accomplish this task. I am 65 years old and wondering if this task is even doable? Any reasonable advice would be appreciated .

Do you have the means to move the logs? Also how many is "numerous"?

What diameter are the trees? If you want 1" (4/4) boards, you will waste a lot of wood using a chainsaw mill due to the wide kerf. If you only expect to get a few thick slabs, the chainsaw mill is ok. Do you have a saw already?
