For awhile now I've been eyeing this big oak that needed to come down. Went out Friday morning to get er' done. It's the biggest tree I've dropped yet, and I'm Very happy with the results. Used a traffic cone as a target and hit just right. 26" DBH with a fairly funky canopy. I had to avoid the white birch in the backround of pic # 2 ( my wife loves that tree!).

I'm all set for wood this year, so I've got this Oak and a big Beech for next year.

Nice, looks like all went as planned. Most importantly you missed the ladies favorite tree.

how many cord you figure you got out of it?

That should keep you busy for a while. Wish I had done the same, instead I painted the bathroom. That kept the Mrs. happy though!!!
